Cherubim and Seraphim

Cherubim and Seraphim are angels of the highest order. In fact, they are the only angels depicted with wings in the Holy Bible. The Cherubim were put in the place of Adam by God after he was driven out of the Garden of Eden because of his sin against God (Genesis 3:24). The Cherubim uphold the reign and the rule of God (Psalm 18:9-10). They are of the same piece of gold with the mercy seat from which God spoke on the Box of Covenant (Exodus 37:7-9) and are woven into the fabric of the temple veil (Exodus 26:31). God actually dwells in the midst of the Cherubim (Psalm 80:1).

The Seraphim on the other hand are closely related and counterpart to the Cherubim. They surround the throne of God and sing his praises day and night in his temple (Isaiah 6:1-3). The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim was established as the earthly counterparts of the heavenly Cherubim and Seraphim. The members are born-again believers that have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. They consent to the priesthood of the believer and are committed to the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of mankind.

Membership in the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim is open to all penitent sinners purposing to lead a new and holy life of service to God and mankind. Ordination and promotion of the members are based on the performance and promotion of the activities of the Holy Order. The Order takes responsibility for the burial rites of its members and its departed members are believed to have been united with the heavenly Cherubim and Seraphim.
